Juni’24
Our installation debuted at the Angewandte Festival as part of the AAA program, which took place from June 26–29. Over two days, we hosted two immersive happenings where the installation was used for live performances.
On June 26th, the event kicked off with a speech by Alex Regal on inclusion and sign language. Following the talk, Alex performed a live set under his alias, Deaf_Iance. His low-frequency soundscape caused the installation to vibrate, adding a dynamic and tactile sensory layer to the experience.
On June 29th, the installation came to life through a captivating live set by Mitra, infusing energy and movement into the space. Throughout both performances, attendees were invited to enjoy the music, socialize over drinks at the bar, and connect in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. The event also showcased innovative tools aimed at creating a more inclusive and accessible party environment.
November’24
From November 14th to 16th, the international conference "Vienna After Dark" took place, focusing on various aspects of club culture. A special highlight was the panel talk on inclusion, where Theodora, representing our project “Your Club Is Not My Club”, took on the role of moderator. Robbe Van Bogaert, Martina Gollner, Francesco Spaggiari, Marieke Samallo, and Christina Riedler shared their expertise as speakers, offering exciting insights. The discussion resulted in numerous thought-provoking ideas and inspiring outputs that enriched the discourse on inclusion in club culture.
TR4NSFORMA 29.11.2024 Kulturzentrum 4lthangrund
Currated by Marko Markovic
Produced by Mena Huber
At the end of the month we took part in TR4NSFORMA Festival happening in Kulturzentrum 4lthangrund, which aims to open the space for Viennese performance artists and activists and invite
international artists coming from communities that are present and relevant for intercultural life in city of Vienna. For this event we decided to try something new and connect the installation to classical instruments, a chello and a guitar, played by Angelo Beltrame and Márk Seres. We also repurposed an old separation wall from the gallery as a stage to add more resonating bodies to the installation.
January’25
In January we collaborated with Mitra again at their live set during the AAA’25 listening session. We took advantage of the large space and the infrastructure of the Angewandte auditorium, and it was a nice experience to be invited back.
